DApps & Contracts

Which modules does a DApp need?

Separate the interface, wallets, contracts and business services to scope delivery.

The short answer

For an Ethereum application, a DApp combines a user interface with on-chain contracts. It may also need RPC access, event indexing and conventional business services. The exact components depend on the user journey.

Define one complete transaction journey

For example: open the page, choose a network, connect a wallet, confirm an action, wait for a result and view the record. Specify cancellation, network mismatch and failure states as well as the success screen.

Separate contract rules from business services

Contracts implement the rules that need on-chain execution. Content editing, notifications and dashboards can be scoped separately. Document each field's source and write permissions so the interface does not drift from the actual business state.

Review components, not just whether the page loads

Our scoping recommendation is to review the interface, wallet interactions, contract interfaces, data reads and deployment notes separately. Agree repeatable acceptance scenarios and record the network, contract version and responsible owner.

A project checklist

  • List networks, supported wallets and key transactions.
  • Specify pending, cancelled, failed and duplicate-submission states.
  • Define delivery boundaries for contracts, the frontend and business services.

Common questions

Does wallet connection make a complete DApp?

It does not complete product acceptance. Review business rules, contract calls, resulting data and failure states.

Can a DApp use a conventional backend?

Conventional services may be added as needed. Clarify which results are determined by contracts and which are provided by the project service.
