AI & Project Delivery

How do you scope website, wallet and smart-contract delivery?

Separate interface, wallets, on-chain rules and handover through the user journey.

The short answer

Scope delivery through the user journey: the website handles presentation, wallet integration handles connections and confirmations, and contracts implement on-chain rules. Review interfaces, permissions, deployment and support through both success and failure scenarios.

Start with the user journey

For an illustrative wallet-and-membership project, map site entry, wallet connection, eligibility checks, transaction submission and results. Decide which steps require on-chain execution and which need ordinary application services. This is a hypothetical requirement, not a client case.

Three deliverables carry different responsibilities

A DApp commonly combines a frontend with smart contracts. The website presents information and interactions, wallet integration connects accounts and requests confirmations, and contracts implement on-chain rules. Backends, databases and indexing may also be needed.

Review states beyond a successful demonstration

Our review recommendation covers rejected connections, wrong networks, failed loading, pending transactions, failures and receipts. “Submitted” and confirmed on-chain are different states; define the message and next action for each.

Handover operations and administrative actions separately

Define handover for deployment, domains, interface configuration, contract addresses, administrator roles and versions. Public evidence should exclude keys, login data and unauthorized client information; keep it separate from private handover files.

Quote by scope and accept by scenarios

We recommend scoping pages, networks, wallets, contract functions, integrations and maintenance before quotation. Demonstrations, contract tests and independent security audits provide different evidence and should not be substituted for one another.

A project checklist

  • Assign each step to frontend, backend or contract.
  • Include rejection, failure and pending states.
  • Prepare version, configuration, access and support handover.

Common questions

Does connecting a wallet complete payment?

No. Connection, signing, submission and confirmation are distinct steps.

Can a contract deliver the entire website?

A complete product often also needs an interface, integrations and deployment.

Does passing tests mean an audit passed?

No. Tests and independent audits have different scope and evidence.

Are maintenance and external costs included?

Confirm these in the quote and agreement; the word development does not establish inclusion.
